As the platform’s core functions move toward completion, GPone has made account security and identity verification key development priorities.
Operating a digital services platform requires consistent processes that balance user experience, account security and identity verification requirements across regions. Before expanding the scope of its user services, GPone is therefore refining these processes further.
Developing the identity verification process
The planned identity verification process centers on identity document recognition, facial verification and liveness detection. The platform is also assessing technical approaches to accommodate differences in identity documents across countries and regions.
Strengthening login and account safeguards
Alongside identity verification, this phase covers security mechanisms for account login and sensitive actions. Work includes login authentication, detection of unusual login activity, notifications for sensitive actions, and management of the links between user identities and account information.
Although these functions are not always visible during everyday use, they form an important part of the platform’s operational foundations.
Streamlining the post-registration journey
GPone has also reviewed the steps users follow after registration, with the aim of reducing unnecessary page transitions and repeated requests for the same information wherever possible.
Preparing for further business testing
The current development focus remains on improving core business functions. Large-scale market expansion is not the primary objective at this stage.
Once development of the account system and identity verification capabilities is complete, the platform will move into a further phase of business process testing.
